In the early 80's, Dietrich Mateschitz, the founder of Red Bull, often travelled to Asia on business trips. There he came across some very popular energy drinks and an idea was born. Back in Austria, he worked out his idea and with a lot of scientific know-how, the new liquid drug was Red Bull. In 1987, Red Bull was launched on the Austrian market. And slowly the rest of Europe followed. Raising profits from $1 Million in 1987 to $300 million in 1998, Dietrich became the unchallenged leader of all energy drink dealers. Numerous scientific studies have shown the positive effects of RB and the safety of it's ingredients. RB contains the following:
But this is not strange because some of the other brands have as much caffeine in them as 10-15 cups of coffee. Red Bull improves reaction, speed, concentration and increases physical endurance and mental alertness. Very nice, very nice, but a plate of pasta and a good cup of coffee gets you as high as a can of expensive Bull which, in some ways, is actually a liquid Happy Meal. Energy drinks are often promoted by athletes in commercials or during sporting events, drinking the highly-stimulating drug either before or after a sporting event... isn't that doping? But most people addicted to energy drinks never fully get to use all that extra energy and stamina except maybe during a wild night at The Roxy's... oh no I'm sorry that place burned down a couple of years ago... in the Mazzo. Red Bull also has a strange but special taste to which some people... feel strangly attracted. Unlike cocaine, which doesn't mix well with alcohol, Red Bull goes with any booze, from beer to Pushkin Red Vodka (strongly recommended). The good thing about this mix is that it lets you drink more because of all that energy. Whoopy!! I can't wait to feel the hangover. |
